Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay

Our November speaker will be Lieutenant Governor Kyle Evans Gay. Always a popular guest, Lt. Governor Gay has assumed a very active role since her election to the office in 2024. In her own words, she ran for public office to advocate for kids and families, improve seniors’ quality of life, and to fight for equality and prosperity for all Delawareans.
LG Gay earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and history from Brown University and a law degree from Boston University. She began her professional career as a deputy attorney general in the Delaware Department of Justice before clerking in Delaware Superior Court.
After becoming a vocal advocate for the successful Equal Rights Amendment to the Delaware Constitution, Kyle was elected to the Delaware Senate in 2020, becoming the first Democrat to represent the Fifth Senate District in more than 40 years.
In the state senate she served as the chair of the Senate Elections & Government Affairs Committee, vice-chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, co-chair of the Joint Legislative Oversight and Sunset Committee, and a member of both the Senate Transportation Committee and the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee.
