Emerson Sheldon
If you've attended any recent meetings of the Eastern Sussex Democrats, you know that a recurring theme of our discussions has been the need to identify and develop new generations of leadership for the Democratic Party. The issues faced by the children and grandchildren of the Baby Boomers are very different than what we had to contend with.
One such future leader is Emerson Sheldon, a Democratic activist who is becoming increasingly well known here in Southern Delaware and who will be addressing our February 4th meeting. The youngest member of the RD14 Democratic Committee, Emerson regularly speaks at public events and brings his unique and well-informed perspective to us. Emerson has attended the American Legion’s Boys State and ACLU’s National Advocacy Institute.
Working closely with Indivisible Southen Delaware and other organizations, Emerson spoke at the Rehoboth Bandstand during the April 2025 Hands Off rally and at the Georgetown Circle when we gathered for the No Kings protest. Those who have heard him agree that he is an articulate and inspiring speaker.
There is no charge for the meeting, but please help us get an accurate head count by using the REGISTER button below or scanning the QR code with your smart phone to register. Join us on February 4th and be a part of this important conversation with one of the Democratic Party's future leaders!
