Kathy Hughes, President
Kathy moved to Lewes ten years ago from Annapolis, Maryland after retiring from a 32-year career with the U.S. Treasury Department. She is a committee member of the 14th RD and was honored to be selected as a delegate to the 2020 Democratic National Convention. This is her second term as President of ESD, and she previously served as secretary. She is an avid volunteer with Community Resource Center and DHA, focusing on those experiencing homelessness.

Tom Iarossi, Member at Large/Director of Communications
Tom is a retired US Army First Sergeant and elementary school teacher who came to Sussex County after years of political activism in California. A lifelong Democrat, Tom has worked on campaigns ranging from the local water board to the Congressional level and has served on the boards of several Democratic organizations. He is secretary of the 4th RD Committee.
Chris Eggert, Secretary
Chris, a retired speech and language pathologist, spent many years of her career providing speech and language services in the Indian River School District. She has coordinated with teachers and school administrators to design and deliver individual and group services to hundreds of children during her 37-year career. Chris is also a member of the 14th RD Democratic Committee and volunteers on local campaigns.
Alice Casey, Treasurer
Alice lives in Rehoboth Beach and has political experience from City of Wilmington and New Castle County dating back to Joe Biden's very first Senate campaign in 1972. She has a lifetime connection to coastal Sussex through family ties to Dewey. Alice had a long career with AIG in finance and did post retirement work with DelDOT and Dart in contracts and procurement.
Mary Boggi, Membership Chair
Mary was the Secretary for the 24th RD in New Castle County before relocating to Sussex County in 2019 and is now a member of the ESD and 14th RD in Sussex County. She volunteers for many Democratic campaigns and fundraisers.
Russ Mojcher, Member at Large
Russell Mojcher (pronounced "Moyer"), retired after working for the State of Connecticut for over 40 years as a vocational guidance counselor for a federally-funded job training program and as a disability examiner. Russell and his wife, Gail, moved to Delaware to enjoy the mild winters and the nearby beaches.
