Guest Speaker Kerri Evelyn Harris spoke on the topic of resilience. She spoke eloquently and, often personally, about the need to never give up, the ability to change the world with a determined few, and about economic justice as the thread which underlies the many injustices of the day. After her presentation she took questions from the audience.
Report from the Ad Hoc Committee on Homelessness. Leslie Calman, chair of the committee, reported on their first meeting.The recently formed committee met, reviewed status of efforts to secure permanent housing and services for those experiencing homelessness. They are in the process of setting up meetings with state, county and local officials and will provide a report on their findings at the next ESD meeting.
