Sarah McBride Announces Raising $750,000 in Q2

Wilmington, DE — Today, Sarah McBride’s campaign for Congress announced raising $750,000 in the second quarter of 2024, the final full quarter before the Delaware Primary Election. This marks the best financial quarter of fundraising for any U.S. House candidate in Delaware history, incumbent or not. Over 1,700 Delawareans have donated to McBride’s campaign to date.
In response to the announcement, Senator Sarah McBride said, “I’m honored that thousands of Delawareans have dedicated their time, resources, and passion to my campaign for Congress. The outpouring of support across our state of neighbors reinforces how excited Delawareans are to win this race alongside us. Together, in Congress, we’ll fight to codify reproductive rights, make health care, child care, and housing more affordable, protect and expand worker’s rights, raise the minimum wage, and protect social security and medicare.”
This news follows Sarah McBride setting a new fundraising record for any candidate seeking the open congressional seat in May. Since launching her campaign a year ago, McBride has built a campaign that has made her the frontrunner for the seat by earning a wide coalition of endorsements, beating fundraising records, and leading a grassroots organizing operation that has reached thousands of Delaware voters. McBride has been endorsed by more than twenty Delaware unions, eight Delaware statewide elected officials, dozens of her colleagues in the General Assembly and counting, community organizers, and national advocacy organizations. She has also been endorsed by Democratic leadership in the U.S. House, as well as caucuses representing nearly every Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives, including both the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the moderate NewDems Coalition caucus.
